Description:
This beautiful
1,400 square foot cottage is ideally situated on a quiet bay
in Lake Vernon. It's split level design and vaulted ceilings
with floor to ceiling windows make it a very open and spacious
place - room enough for the entire family. The kitchen is knotty
pine and open, overlooking the dining and living areas which
have lots of windows providing excellent views to the west -
perfect for the sunsets! From here you can access one of the
decks which has stairs to the grassed front yard leading to
the waterfront. The outdoor firepit is located near the waterfront,
the perfect place to roast the marshmallow as the sun sets!
The yard is grassed to the waterfront beach where the entry is shallow
and sandy (soft sand), and the water depth is about 3-4 feet
at 20 feet out. The master bedroom is in the loft which has
a privacy screen, 2 of the bedrooms are on the main level, and
one is on the lower level, adjacent to the rec room which also
has a walk out door. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans for
your added comfort. LOCATION: Cottage is on the
north west part of Lake Vernon, at Vernon Shores. It is about
a 15 minute drive into Huntsville, 20 minutes to Arrowhead Provincial
Park, 40 minutes to Bracebridge (Santa's Village), less than
an hour to Algonquin Park. Close to several golf courses including
Deerhurst, and Club Link's Mark O'Meara. Lake Vernon gives you
access to 3 other lakes (Penn, Fairy and Mary). PREVIOUS RENTER'S COMMENTS: Loved the deck - sunny in
the morning and shady by dinnertime...lots of room...the kids enjoyed the sandy beach and catching minnows in the shallows...firepit and swimming was a huge hit with the kids...what a gorgeous lake! caught a 24" pike...we had a wonderful stay at your cottage. The scenery was majestic and truely relaxing...beautiful fall coulours starting to turn! Very quiet! Perfect scenery....a beautiful buck and doe watched us from across the street. We love your beautiful and cozy cottage. We'd love to come back again...
