This
1,800 sq. ft. cottage is elevated and provides
a fabulous
view of the lake. There is a path and a set of steps leading
to the waterfront and along here, tucked away under the
trees,
is a bench with a great vantage point whether you're relaxing
alone, reading or enjoying conversation. The lot is large
and
well treed providing excellent privacy and some shade. The
natural beauty of the 212 foot waterfront has been maintained,
and the
dock is large enough for the entire family to enjoy together,
and with a depth of 3' at the end, it's ideal for the little
ones. The interior of the cottage is bright and cheery, and
the floors are easy care laminate. There are 2 bedrooms
on the
main floor and an open loft with the 3rd bedroom (carpeted).
The living area has cathedral ceilings and large windows,
with
access to the deck from here as well as the screened in sun
room - the perfect spot for dining with out the bugs. ...
The
exposure is southwest.
LOCATION: Just 30 minutes north east of Huntsville,
Tasso lake is a long (approx. 7 miles), narrow lake very
close to the western boundary of Algonquin Park and has
a similar feel to it. Fine dinning, evening entertainment,
and public championship golf courses are nearby. Good shopping
and entertainment in nearby Huntsville. Just 40 minutes
to Algonquin Park.
PREVIOUS RENTERS' COMMENTS:...The lake is among the cleanest we've ever swam in.....We absolutely loved this cottage. Very peaceful place to get away from it all. Kids loved the loft, watertoys, boat rides, and fishing at the dock. The view from the kayak when it is really quiet is stunning. The house is very well equipped, and we greatly enjoyed the amenities and the view....it was one of the best holidays we have had..... What an awesome location - Lake Tasso is unbelievably gorgeous and so swimmable....July 2010...We live in Aruba and come from the crystal clear ocean & beautiful beaches, and arrive at crystal clear Lake Tasso and it's stunning nature!!...Aug 2010..The combination of a beautiful cottage, sparkling lake and a balance of activity & relaxation was a welcome tonic for two busy families. We leave here with fond memories of an amazing time at the lake....Another fantastic week here (3rd time). It is the highlight of our summers, and the only think we don't like about it is having to leave.....We don't have the right words to express our joy & graditude for such a fun-filled vacation. The cottage was spotless & full of amazing character. The fresh clean water, the good fishing and all of the toys to make the waterfront so appealling made all of us want to come back. ... July 2011...A home, amazingly clean & clear Lake for everyone to enjoy with peaceful surroundings....What a peaceful way to enjoy a vacation! Fantastic afternoons at the dock enjoying the water, kayaks and paddle boat. Such a wonderful place to have a much needed vacation with family...Aug 2011...This has been an amazing week that we will never forget! We enjoyed everything you had to offer from swimming, tubing, fishing, kayaking and more. We were more then grateful for all the amenities that had been provided. After a long day by the water we were always happy to come inside to such a comforting and cozy cottage!
