This

over 5,000 square feet of custom designed log cottage on
more
than 7 acres with 1,800 feet of lake frontage. The property
is well maintained and around the cottage it is level, and
at
the waterfront the land slopes toward the shoreline. There
is a well designed set of stone steps leading you to the
water.
From the outdoor firepit, you have a beautiful vantage point
looking down the lake, and what better spot to spend a quiet

The lake view from the cottage and everywhere on the property
is
breathtaking, any time of the year. The cottage is a log construction
with 28 foot cathedral ceilings (pine) in the main living
area,
and the stone fireplace truly is floor to ceiling. The floors
are wide plank pine flooring (no shoes please) and give
a rich
warm ambiance in conjunction with the log walls. The decor
is extremely tasteful, and there are some very unique pieces
throughout
the cottage. The living area has maroon leather seating in
front of the fireplace, and you still have a great view through
the
windows on either side. The dining area, with a dining table for 8 people, also has cathedral
ceilings. It is adjacent to the designer kitchen which has
2 winged-back chairs
for the 'observers'. Off the kitchen is a large screened Muskoka
Room with pine floors, dining area and comfortable high-end wrought iron furniture with comfy cushions. The Muskoka Room has one of three fireplaces - this one operates at the touch of a remote control. The dining area in the Muskoka Room has a table that seats 8 people. There is also a beverage refrigerator on the porch. This Muskoka room has a panoramic view of the lake on three sides.
The
master bedroom is on the main floor; 2 bedrooms are on the
second level; and one is on the lower level. At the top of
the stairs,
on the second level is a large landing with 2 chairs, making
it an ideal spot to curl up with a good book. On the lower
level
is a rec room and a billiard room with a pool table and dart
board. This is a one-of-a-kind rare find.
LOCATION: Just 20 minutes north east of Huntsville, Tasso
lake is a long (approx. 7 miles), narrow lake very close to
the western boundary of Algonquin Park and has a similar feel
to it. Fine dinning, evening entertainment, and public championship
golf courses are nearby. Good shopping and entertainment in
nearby Huntsville. Just 40 minutes to Algonquin Park. |
