River just south of the Historic Dam in Port Sydney. The cottage is elevated from the river on
a well-treed, flat, double lot, with a beautiful view of the river. The cottage is cozy and well decorated with traditional cottage furniture and fixtures. The Muskoka room is lined with windows and serves as a wonderful spot to dine and take in the scenery. Outside you'll find a stone patio and picnic table for outdoor eating. Relax in the comfortable wooden Muskoka chairs that await you on the lookout deck, or take a well deserved rest in the hammock. The river is clean, deep,
and wide (about 200 metres across at this section) - great
for swimming. A natural trail with steps carved into the landscape leads you down to the water.
There is a permanent dock along the shoreline where you can step down onto the smooth rock and access the water. Enjoy an evening campfire under the stars as you wind down from the day's activities, or gather around the woodstove in the living room for some family time on those
cooler, late summer nights.

LOCATION: 2 minute drive into Port Sydney, 15 minute drive
north to Huntsville, 20 minutes to Arrowhead Provincial Park,
15 minute drive south to Bracebridge (Santa's Village), an
hour to Algonquin Park. Close to several golf courses including
North Granite Ridge in Port Sydney, Deerhurst, and Club Link's
Mark O'Meara in Huntsville. A 10 minute walk to the Port Sydney Historic Dam.
Zinetti's General Store and Beauideal Restaurant are both a short walk away in
Port Sydney.
