This unique property has a level garden court area that faces south out over the lake where the whole family can enjoy playing shuffle board, croquet and bocce ball. Or just sit back with your favourite beverage and enjoy the great views and spectacular sunsets across the lake from "cocktail point". The cottage/boathouse has plenty of historic charm with hardwood floors and wood decor throughout, and living right over the water has a special magic not found with regular cottages. The large kitchen has been recently updated, and a few of the bedrooms, but the old cottage charm is still unmistakable with floors that creak, walls of dark rich wood and open rafters that house a number of cottage artifacts. The huge 20ft x 40ft main living is large enough for 2 sitting areas that enjoy plenty of water views. A "sitting out porch" extending out over the water from the center of the living room is the focal point for great conversations. A large dining room with a stone fireplace can accommodate 16 people at the large oak table plus another 6 to 8 at a smaller table. The simple bunkie is found on the far side of the property close to the water's edge while the newly finished cabin sits back up from the waterfront behind the cottage/boathouse. This cabin has windows and sliding doors around most of the living area and brings a touch of modernization to the compound with telephone, internet access, 3 pc bath with shower and an outdoor hot tub. (sorry, still no TV's here!!). This cottage property, which enjoys 600 feet of waterfront, has been long used to enjoy family fun and spending time together to re-connect. There are plenty of outdoor activities available here along with indoor board games and a large selection of costume clothing to allow the creative side to come out.
