Come to Gravenhurst to treat yourself to a vacation in one of the most sough after waterfront areas in Muskoka Bay. A true Muskokan experience awaits you in this area of million dollar homes and cottages. Your arrival brings you to a landscaped front drive within steps of the front door. The interior of the home will make you immediately comfortable with it’s open concept design. The main floor has cathedral and vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, hardwood flooring and a wood burning fireplace with floor to ceiling brick accents. The modern kitchen area, with custom cabinets and built-in appliances, is large and accommodating with spacious granite countertops.
The dining room seats 6 people and is directly adjacent to an extra large Muskoka room where 10 people can dine in fine wicker furniture by simply opening the double French doors between both rooms. In the morning, you can enjoy breakfast and your coffee in the Muskoka room or soak in the hot tub and take in the fabulous view out across the bay! Kids can enjoy the inflatable seadoo trampoline or many inflatable rafts on the waterfront or play xbox and playstation2 video games in the kids play room. Other extras are Cogeco cable tv and wireless connection to the internet. Cell phone reception is good and all water in the home is municipal and not drawn from the lake.
The lakeside area has been professionally landscaped and a granite walkway leads you to the waterfront. Here you will find a boathouse with an extra large rooftop deck to lay out and enjoy the sunshine. Beachfront is a shallow soft sand entry into the water with depth increasing to about 8 feet at the end of the boathouse. Inside the boathouse is a boat slip to accommodate a boat up to 24ft long. Multiple level decking surrounds the lakeside portion of the cottage and a large hot tub on the lower deck level with overhead upper deck affords outdoor hot tubbing, even on a rainy day.
LOCATION:Less than 1.5hrs north of Toronto, and just minutes from town shopping in the town of Gravenhurst. Taboo Resort is just a short drive by car or boat. The historic Segwun steamship cruises are located right in our Bay around the point. Muskoka Bay is ideal for water skiing and tubing as water is much calmer than in the main body of Lake Muskoka. All in all, the perfect location for a holiday week at the cottage.
