Cottage #269, Healey Lake, MacTier

Description:

This newly renovated 3 bedroom cottage provides ample deck space on multiple levels to enjoy the view and take in the cottage life. The larger upper deck is great for family meals and entertaining, while the lower deck sits closer to the water and is a fantastic spot to relax with that morning coffee or finish the day with an evening beverage. There is a small stone pathway and steps that lead you down to the dock (with no neighbours) where the water is clear and deep. The landscape on this side of the property is fairly steep and the stairs are the best way down to the dock. As you cut across this large point of land to the other side of this cottage property (cottage #268 sits out on the tip of the point), you will find a beautiful fire pit area and a nice shallow sand entrance into the water. Great for the kids! When you're not on the deck, this is where you'll likely be.

Inside the cottage, you'll find new pine and hemlock flooring throughout, with pine walls and ceilings to complete the cottage feel of this property. New creature comforts such as leather furniture, flat screen TV, satellite dish and new kitchen certainly add to the decor as well. A wonderful Muskoka room, off the side of the cottage, is a great spot to spend the time playing cards or relaxing with a good book while you take in the surroundings of cottage country. The cottage is small and very comfy.

When not in the cottage, you'll want to be out enjoying the view from the deck or splashing in the water with the kids - making memories that will last a lifetime.

For additional accommodations for families looking to vacation together in the same area: This cottage is located on a large point of land (on a separate lot - with a separate shoreline) near cottage #268 (separated by trees - you cannot see one cottage from the other cottage).

LOCATION: About 2 hrs north of Toronto via Hwy 400. Just 15 min's past the village of MacTier which provides a modern supermarket, LCBO, Home Hardware store with a Country Style franchise, churches (Anglican, Catholic, Fellowship and United), and library. About 20 minutes to popular pub-style restaurant. About 57 km south of the town of Parry Sound for most all amenities, and about 33 km to Port Carling cradled between Lake Muskoka and Lake Rosseau for interesting shops and restaurants.
Great area for canoeing -
explore the lake - for an overnight trip, paddle approximately 8 km to the end of the lake, followed by a 14 minute portage to Georgian Bay and canoe another 5 km to view beautiful Moon River Falls (only accessible by water)
For winter - Snowmobile trails located within 1-2 km of this cottage. Snowmobile to restaurant located at nearby resort on lake. Enjoy cross country skiing and snow shoeing in the lake area.
