Here is a great traditional cottage setting, complete with separate bunkie, on 500 feet of shoreline, on this beautiful crystal clear lake. The cottage decor is mostly wood throughout its entirety and wonderfully finished to provide that perfect cottage charm. Everything is wonderfully finished with the right amount of new, and traditional, to prevent any thoughts of being simply rustic. The bunkie also has a similar decor, with a large wall of windows to enjoy the view from the sitting area. The main deck area is a great spot to relax and enjoy the view out over the lake and the expansive wilderness surroundings. Dining on the deck is fantastic! The property slopes down across the yard to the trees and then a natural pathway gently leads you down to the waterfront. Here you will find the typical small, smooth rocks and stones lining the shoreline as it does throughout most of this lake. The lake bottom is small pebbles mixed with sand that slopes gradually out to about 8ft at the end of the dock. There is plenty of room at the water for the kids to enjoy countless hours of splashing and playing in the clear, clear water. There is room for your boat too should you decide to bring one. The classic, comfortable, cottage ambiance here is sure to please and make for an enjoyable cottage holiday for the whole family.
LOCATION: About 3 hrs from Toronto. A 5 minute boat or car ride to Mountain Trout House Marina. About a 15 minute drive to the village of Dorset for some groceries at Robinson's General Store, restaurants and LCBO. The towns of Huntsville and Bracebridge and the village of Haliburton are about 40 minutes away for most all amenities. The west gate of Algonquin Park is about 30 minutes away. The cottage is literally across the road from the northern edge of the Frost Centre Area which offers great opportunities for easy canoeing, hiking and mountainbiking daytrips (maps and detailed info at the cottage).
