Rustic yet elegant, and beautifully appointed, Pine Cottage, offers a great getaway in the heart of Muskoka. The south-facing shoreline enjoys all day sunshine, and the large glass railed deck overlooks the waterfront. It's just a few steps down to the shallow, sandy beach area and 40 foot dock. Well suited to the younger ones as there is very shallow water for quite a distance off the beach. The great room is the hub of the cottage. It has a vaulted ceiling with exposed whitewashed beams. The kitchen open and well laid out with top name brand appliances and even a second beverage fridge. The long refectory table seats ten, and all the equipment, right down to the utensils in the kitchen is premium quality. The living room is spacious, with three walkouts to the deck and long views down the lake. There are three full bedrooms and a loft, plus laundry facilities and two full bathrooms. The loft is a great retreat for kids, with its own flat panel TV for games and movies. The entire cottage is newly renovated, with wide plank pine floors and tongue and groove paneling throughout. The lake bottom here is shallow with hard packed sand until you reach the end of the dock. There are some large, smooth boulders in the water surrounding the dock so you simply need to skirt around these as you make your way from the sand beach out to the swim raft. The large deck area at the end of the dock is the perfect place to watch the sun set over the sheltered bay.
LOCATION: about 2.5 hrs north of Toronto. Dining, shopping and most all amenities can be
found in the town of Huntsville about 15 min's away. Deerhurst and Bigwin island
are both about 20 min's away for great golfing. The cottage is on the snowmobile
trail and, for skiing, Hidden Valley is just 30 minutes away.
