Here is the chance to be one of the very few who get to experience cottaging in Algonquin Park. This wonderful rustic cottage will bring you back to a by-gone era when cottage life was simple and quiet. A traditional cottage decor awaits you with pine walls and hard wood flooring throughout. The living room, with it's vaulted ceiling, is centered around the floor to ceiling stone fireplace and you'll find many decorations and trinkets from years past. The bunkie is a great place for the kids to sleep and there is a second fridge there to keep your refreshments and snacks. Outside you'll enjoy sitting back and gazing out across the lake at the unspoiled wilderness of Algonquin Park. There is a large flat area by the cottage for the kids to play and then the yard slopes down to the lake where you'll find shallow entry into the water with a hard sand bottom and gradual dropoff. You can swing peacefully in the hammock and listen to the call of the loons as you savour the experience of cottage life in Algonquin. There are only two other cottages on the lake along with Killarney Lodge further down the shore. There are many popular walking and hiking trails located nearby with the famous Visitor Centre just a little down the road.
LOCATION:Located in the heart of the Algonquin Park corridor. About 3hrs north of Toronto and approximately 2.5 hrs from Ottawa. You can walk to Killarney Lodge for dining and the Lake of Two Rivers Store is just down the road. The village of Dwight is about 30mins away for dining, groceries and LCBO.
