This cottage is a great mix of older original charm and new modern decor! It sits slightly elevated from the waterfront with a gentle slope past the huge fire pit to the dock. Beginning at the water, you can enjoy great swimming at the end of the dock or let the smaller kids explore the sandy areas to either side of the dock. One is a sandy entry and the other has it’s entry from the deck on the water’s edge. The water is clear and weed free which allows for superb boating, swimming and water activities. Extensive decking surrounds the cottage and offers water views from all angles! Enter the screened porch and kick-back in the relaxing and comfortable furniture. The porch is also set up for the morning coffee at the bench style table.
The original area of the cottage has massive wood beams, maple flooring, wood fireplace with brick surround, a custom bead-board kitchen, lengthy harvest dining table, water views and 3 bedrooms ( one of which is a loft ). The newer addition is very bright and spacious! It also has maple flooring, vaulted pine ceilings and 3 bedrooms. The great room is full of sun and has great views of the waterfront! There is a total of 5 wonderful, tropical ceiling fans to cool the air..if you need it.
The bedrooms in the original cottage are smaller but are perfect for the kids! The 2 new bedrooms off of the great room are larger and very accommodating for adults and kids alike. The lower master bedroom is private, large, bright and sports a 4pc ensuite along with great views and direct access to the deck.
With 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sand beach area, waterside deck, long dock and plenty of interior space, this Wood Lake cottage is a perfect location for the larger families. If you need even more space, there is additional rental accommodations next door at #367...( Of which you share a horseshoe pit ). You will be more than comfortable in this fantastic location
LOCATION: About 2 hrs north of Toronto. About 20min's to the town of Bracebridge for most all amenities.
