This 3 bedroom cottage sits on a quiet lake with very little boat traffic due to having no public boat launch. Come and enjoy a peaceful getaway with the family. The cottage has enjoyed some recent updates to the interior while still keeping with the true cottage decor that some of us grew up with. The dining room is open to the kitchen with stools at the counter for casual gatherings while the dining table enjoys a great view out to the lake. A small living room area enjoys space for watching TV or just curling up with a good book on the couch. There is a walkout from the partially finished basement that works great for coming into the cottage from the waterfront. Good for storing outdoor stuff for the night too. Outside, the property is quite flat with room for the kids to play while you enjoy an afternoon nap in the hammock. The water here has a gradual drop while the bottom is typical of smaller lakes having undisturbed shorelines with some sand and softer bottom, so the best swimming is probably from the dock out to the swim raft for hours of fun in the water. There is also great fishing right from the dock as the lake is full of largemouth bass that are just the right size to keep the little ones squealing with sheer delight. There are some mature trees on the property for those seeking some shade in the summer heat. Then, you can enjoy wonderful sunsets from the waterfront with your favourite beverage as the sun drops down behind the trees across the lake and brings a close to another great day at the cottage.
LOCATION: About 2.5hrs north of Toronto. Just a few short minutes to the town of Huntsville for shopping, dining and most all amenities.
