This lovely
4 bedroom A-frame cottage has a large deck offering a magnificent view of the lake.
Finished in tongue and groove pine paneling, the open concept
living area is bright and spacious, and provides lots of room
to enjoy the evening social activities, and there is also a
loft. Each of the 4 bedrooms is carpeted and 2 have pine accents
The property is elevated and naturally wooded to the waterfront
where the entry into the water is from the dock ladder - the
water here is about 9 feet deep. There is a small shallow entry
area at the shoreline where the rock merges with the lake and
the bottom is rocky, here the water is about 3 feet deep. Swimming
here is excellent, as is the fishing! The lake has many little
inlets and is great for exploring. Exposure is south.
LOCATION: 3 1/2hrs from Toronto. The town of Port Loring is about 20mins away for groceries, LCBO, gas, convenience store, restaurant and more.
PREVIOUS RENTERS' COMMENTS: ...we enjoyed the privacy and the peace...the scenery was spectacular...very comfortable...great location...great swimming...good fishing, caught everything but Muskie....kids loved this swimming and the canoe and paddleboat....enjoyed watching the foxes...the fishing was awesome - pike, pickerel and bass...cottage is very well equipped......we especially appreciated the large modern kitchen and the deck...The lake is very beautiful - many quiet inlets to explore... The lake is still very rugged on many shoreline... We saw quite a lot of wildlife up here!.... a moose poking his head out of the trees.... bears at the dump.... a fox at close range...friendly chipmunks... a few visits from a very large turtle at the dock... lots of loons right out front... beaver and otter swam....The cottage is very comfortable, well equipped and very clean....I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet getaway....The air is so refreshingly crisp and clean and the stars at night are breathtaking....enjoyed the beautiful forests and wetlands....we made smores by the campfire and it is a perfect view.... back for a second year! We love the peacefulness, view, cottage, lake and best of all the fishing. The new kitchen addition is really nice... the stars at night are spectacular... We enjoyed exploring the lakes with our boat and found the boat ramp facilities to be both convenient and well maintained....
