This
newly renovated 5 bedroom cottage has 1,900 sq. ft. of living
space. The living area has a vaulted ceiling, oak floors, leather
sofa and chairs, and a patio door onto the deck where the view
has an instant calming effect. The well designed kitchen has
a ceramic floor and the eating area at the counter can seat
4. The wraparound deck has a gate at one end so you can be sure
any little ones won't go far. The cottage is elevated (exterior
stairs to door on deck level) and there is a path to the waterfront.
The shoreline is rocky and weed free, and access into the lake
is best from the dock where the water depth is about 5 feet.
There is also a small area of access from the shoreline and
the bottom is large rocks. The exposure is south so you have
good sun on the dock all day - and you still can watch the sunsets
from here or while you are roasting marshmallows over the camp
fire.
LOCATION: About 3hrs north of Toronto. About 20 mins to the town of Parry Sound for most amenities and some local attractions including the 30,000 island cruise. The village of McKellar is just min's away.
PREVIOUS RENTERS' COMMENTS: ...the nicest cottage that we've stayed in...the lake is really very picturesque...the neighbours were friendly and helpful...pictures didn't capture the great sun and water exposure, open layout , and the amenities of the lower level. We were really very pleasantly surprised upon arrival... lots of sun exposure, great water, very nice comfortable deck and dock with ample chairs and loungers. Great , well taken care of interior with lots of space for two families. Enjoyed the firepit for a couple of nice evening fires with wood supplied. Beds were excellent quality - owners obviously purchased new mattresses and frames rather than furnishing with second hand... excellent, well cared for, modern cottage, with every amenity covered...
