Cozy one bedroom cottage (and a pullout in the living room)
located on beautiful Otter Lake bordering Haliburton and
Muskoka,
near Dorset. This cottage is situated on a side piece
of the owners' property and is in a lovely quiet area. It
is nicely appointed and fully equipped, including a portable
dishwasher and new vinyl flooring. The large screened-in
porch is an added bonus and provides an excellent spot for
'dining
with
a
view'
and simply enjoying the fresh air . You can drive right
up to the cottage which is about 200 feet from the road,
and
the property is level with a large level grassy area in front
and on one side, perfect for tossing a Frisbee. There are
trees on the other side and in behind, so you have the best
of both worlds. The sandy beach extends the full 165
foot water frontage and provides safe, shallow entry into
the lake for excellent swimming. The exposure is SW, to catch
the best of sunsets! The area is very quiet so it
lends itself perfectly to those seeking true R & R.
LOCATION: east of Hwy. 35 and south of Hwy. # 60, 10
minutes to Dorset, 35 minutes to Algonquin Park, 30 minutes
to Huntsville
PREVIOUS RENTER'S COMMENTS: the private beach front
access and screened in porch were delightful, owner was very
helpful in orienting us to the property ... extremely pleased
- just as described ... we loved the beach and paddleboat,
it was perfect ... clean and tidy ... sandy beach was safe
for our toddler ... cottage owner is delightful - seemed concerned
about our enjoyment and maintained his distance ... he went
out of his way to make our stay enjoyable...the beach was perfect for our girls and the grassy area was a real bonus...we loved it....the location, beach, grass, water dock. Great!
