This bright, open concept cottage is located on the beautiful, clear water of Miskwabi Lake in the Haliburton Highlands. Miskwabi offers great summer watersports and activities as it has deep water and is connected by a channel to Long Lake. There are miles of boating and plenty of spots to pass the day just casting for fish, off the rocks along the shore. Just past the entrance to the cottage is the public landing for launching watercraft and it has a small sandy beach area for those who like to build sandcastles! The cottage sits atop a small hill that is bordered by small trees and the animals that live in them. As you sit on the 12 foot wide, wrap-around deck and gaze toward the northwestern sky, you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere special! But, alas...you are somewhere special indeed! Take a stroll on the stone path and take the steps down to the large l-shaped dock that hugs the natural rocky shoreline to enjoy a day swimming in the cool, refreshing water. Here you can safely dive into the water as the depth is over 17 feet deep. There is plenty of room to dock a couple of boats and sit on the Muskoka chairs while the kids play.
A main feature of the interior of the cottage is the casual and comfortable eat-in kitchen where you can get “up close and personal” with the “chef of the day”! You can gather up to 6 people around the kitchen “eating bar” and enjoy a great meal. Just ask the professional chef who calls this kitchen home! Another custom feature is the desk/entertainment unit that separates the kitchen from the livingroom. It is fabricated to house the computer on one side and the TV/Entertainment unit on the other. (Dial up internet available) It is the perfect divider for the two rooms as it is low enough to provide interaction between everyone in the room. The entire cottage is loaded with pine! The walls, ceilings, trim and some furniture. There are modern yet appealing touches throughout the cottage. The vaulted main room is awash with sunlight from the classic wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling windows! This makes the livingroom very relaxing and casual as does the woodstove that is set on a stone surround. The bedrooms are well appointed and comfortable.
Come to the Highlands and enjoy the many activities that are offered in the surrounding towns like boating, swimming, golf, hiking, skiing, fishing and antique shopping!
