This lovely 3 bedroom, cedar sided cottage in on beautiful Bear Lake, just 25 minutes from Dorset. The main floor of the cottage features a large open concept kitchen/dining/living room with a pine cathedral ceiling. The living room has sliding doors leading onto a huge wrap around, multi-level deck. The large windows across the front of the cottage allow for an incredible view of the 330’ cliff. Sunrise is spectacular and sunset turns the mountain to shades of orange or pink. The kitchen has knotty pine cupboards. Laminate flooring, area rugs and carpet are found throughout the cottage. There are two nice sized bedrooms with queen beds and one smaller bedroom with 2 single beds. There is abundant lounging and eating space on the deck and in the gazebo. The lot is level and grassed from the front of the cottage almost to the shore where there is a short set of stairs to the L- shaped 16’ dock. The waterfront features another deck, which is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. The water is shallow (sandy, some stones) at the shoreline and deepens to about 10’ at the end of the dock. Great swimming. The property has an Eastern exposure. The Portage route from Lake Livingstone to Rock-a-way Lake runs through Bear Lake across the bay from the cottage. You are within an easy 1 hr. drive to Bracebridge (Santa’s Village & great shopping), Baysville (Pontoon Cruise Boat on Lake of Bays, Huntsville (great shopping and an awesome Lookout Area over Fairy Lake) and of course the entrance to Algonquin Park. Shopping in Dorset with it’s famous Robinson’s Store or visiting the Lookout Tower overlooking Dorset and the Lake of Bays is a real treat.
