This open
concept 'A' frame cedar cottage (1,080 sq. ft.)is ideally located
close to Algonquin Park and offers lots of privacy in a very
peaceful and tranquil area. It is elevated and the views are
magnificent and you will not soon forget the reflection of the
moon on the calm water at night. Birds are plentiful and feeders
are available if you wish to bring along some bird seed. The property which has both cleared areas and woodlands, is level behind the cottage and slopes steeply toward the lake, where the water is deep, (no shallow areas) providing excellent swimming. Access to the waterfront is via a natural path. There is 125' of shoreline, with mixed rock and sand bottom. The dock has a fixed 20 foot section, with a 16 foot extension out to deeper water. Immediately at the fixed dock, water depth can range from 2 feet to 3 feet, quickly deepening to the end of the extension which is approximately 10-12 feet deep.
The main floor features an open concept living and dining
area, and french doors from the dining room lead out to a deck
providing a clear view of the lake. There is one bedroom with
a pair of single beds on the main level and the upper floor
has two of the bedrooms (double beds). Exposure is south. This
cottage is also an excellent retreat in the winter and is ideal
for ice fishing enthusiasts.
This cottage is located next to cottage #607 for additional accommodations for families looking to vacation together in the same area.
LOCATION: along the north shore of the lake, 30 minutes
north of Bancroft and south of Hwy. 60 east of Whitney/Algonquin
Park. Just 30 minutes to the Park's East Gate.
