Welcome to Canning Lake! It is part of a popular chain that includes Canning, Soyer’s, Kashagawigamog, Head and Grass Lakes! There are miles upon miles of water activities to enjoy. Fishing, boating, swimming, beaches, marinas, restaurants, etc! You can even take a 2 day paddle to Balsam Lake! This cottage offers a warm, pine lined interior with wood paneling and multi-level living! The wood fireplace sets the tone for the chilly mornings and evenings while the large vaulted windows provide warmth from the all day sun! With 4 bedrooms, a pool table/rec room, living room, and spacious eat in kitchen you will not be running into one another and you can scoot the younger kids off to a small “loft” style play room to watch a movie or play board games. In the pool room, you can enjoy the “retro” vinyl record collection and “boogie” to your favorite 70's & 80's tunes on the record player! The yard is large, airy and open with some very tall trees to provide shade if desired! The lawn slopes gently to the water and offers a gradual, sand bottomed entry into the crisp, clear water!
A two bedroom bunkie with a kitchenette, sturdy furnishings, vaulted ceilings and a great view of the water is perfect for the grandparents/teens..or yourself! Enjoy your time in the bunkie just hanging out with a book, or sneaking a mouthful.. or two.. of the wonderful ice cream you brought back from the famous Kawartha Dairy! Lay in the hammock, play frisbee, swim, boat, canoe...heck, you name it, you can do it here at the family named “Sunny Shores Cottage” on Canning Lake! Have a fun and memorable vacation....
PREVIOUS RENTERS' COMMENTS: We had a lot of space, even if we were 9 people - we could all sit at the same table for dinner, and the view is amazing!! ..... Clean, spacious & had all the amenities we were looking for. Size & flexibility to do different things with a larger family. We would definitely go again. ...... Well stocked, clean, comfortable beds - well equipped for a rainy day. Dock very well kept up. BBQ was great too! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and the cottage exceeded our expectations!!
