This Land O Lakes cottage sits on a quiet lake and is ideal for those larger family getaways with room for everyone. The cottage sits elevated from the water to give you a great view out over the lake. A natural pathway and a number of steps leads you down to the water's edge where you"ll find an area with shallow sandy lake bottom and a gradual drop off. The water at the end of the dock is about 4ft which is great for the younger kids to jump and play. With a leisurely swim out to the raft you can relax in the summer sun as you enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Be sure to take the time to explore the lake in the canoe or rowboat while you take in some of the fishing opportunities for bass, pike, lake trout and splake.
After a day of activity at the waterfront, you can enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of the large screened-in porch area with couches, chairs and dining set. Inside, there is room to gather in both the main floor living room with it's panoramic views or in the bright and spacious lower rec room with it's large play area and board games for the kids. There is a card table and ping-pong table for entertaining the older kids. The bedrooms are simple yet comfortable with some closet space and dressers for your storage needs. There are 4 bedrooms on the main level, each with a queen size bed. There is a double bed in each of the 2 bedrooms on the lower level. This cottage will really fit the bill for those families looking to vacation together and share some fantastic times at the cottage.
LOCATION: About 3 1/2 hrs total from Toronto or about 2 hrs from Ottawa. Only 1hr north of Belleville to the village of Plevna. Located at the end of a long cottage road for excellent privacy with large tracts of rugged crown land surrounding the property. About 15mins into Plevna for gas, dining, groceries, internet cafe and more, with golf only 1/2hr drive to a very nice par 3 course.
