Nestled on a classic treed Muskoka bedrock landscape, the newly renovated one level, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage sits on a quiet sheltered bay with very little boat traffic. With a south exposure, relax and spread out on the dock and enjoy sun filled days from early morning to early evening while taking in the splendid long lake views.

This four season cottage retreat features an inviting open concept living space with a wood burning fireplace and breathtaking lake views through a wall of windows. The kitchen features modern stainless steel appliances and a large island with plenty of counter space for preparing meals while enjoying serene views of the lake. Dine at the beautiful refectory table with seating for 8, then retreat to the living room for after dinner drinks in front of the gorgeous floor to ceiling stone fireplace.

The tastefully appointed master bedroom is an oasis unto itself with a spacious ensuite featuring heated floors and a private direct walk-out to its own deck, the perfect spot for early morning coffees or late evening night caps. The other bedrooms provide quiet, restful retreats and share a well appointed bathroom, also with heated floors. More than likely the lakeside bunkie will be taken over by the tweens giving them privacy while still being a stone's throw away from the cottage.

For avid boaters, bring or rent a boat and explore Lake of Bays. There is a public boat launch just 5 minutes away. Lake of Bays is the second largest lake in the Muskokas with over 165 km. of shoreline, defined by many bays and graced by many islands, Bigwin Island being one of the better known, so you should definitely indulge in a boating day trip or two to the villages of Dorset, Dwight and Baysville. And for anglers, the fishing is very good with Walleye, Musky, Whitefish, Lake Trout, Northern Pike and both Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass in the lake.

For short day trips, the area has much to offer. A 20 minute drive takes you to Huntsville featuring Deerhurst Golf that will test your skill. Additionally, a 30 minute drive to Bracebridge or, continuing from the drive from there, takes you to Port Carling, offering pretty much anything you may need to shop for. If an evening of entertainment is of interest, there are always activities in both Bracebridge and Huntsville.

No day in cottage country is complete without a BBQ dinner, followed by after dinner beverages on the deck and best of all, roasting marshmallows around a lakeside fire pit.
