The addition, fondly nicknamed "The Motel", has 5 lake-facing bedrooms, all with their own direct walkouts to the deck, providing plenty of room for extended family and friends.
The property is every cottage owner's dream, with the cottage sitting on a point of land, close to the water's edge, with over 450 feet of weed free shoreline, providing all day sun with east, south and west exposures. Multiple sitting areas allow for plenty of room for the family to spread out and relax. The younger kids can safely swim and play in protected sandy shallow areas and the older kids can have fun jumping off the end of the dock where the water is over 5 feet deep. With a paddle board, canoe and kayaks at your disposal, explore the lake and 2 nearby marshes with lily pads and bullfrogs.
For avid anglers, Brackenrig Bay is a fishing haven that fishermen from all over come to fish in, especially at closeby Bass Island. For boat enthusiasts, there are many boat launches and marinas nearby, so rent or bring your own boat and discover the extensive network connecting the "The Big Three” (Lake Muskoka, Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau) via river and lock systems, or take a cruise on one of Muskoka's historic steamships, the Segwun or Wenohah, that leave from the Gravenhurst Muskoka Wharf. For exercise enthusiasts, there are marked trails on the property for hiking and Huckleberry Cut is nearby for hiking as well and provides amazing views of Lake Muskoka. For those looking for a little pampering, there are resorts just a short drive away, including the iconic Victorian Windermere, offering the latest in modern luxuries and are open to all cottagers to explore.
