Welcome to Reverence on Kennisis Lake, a gorgeous Canadian Shield cottage with granite outcrops, soaring trees, elevated views, and clean, deep water straight off the dock. This beautiful 4 season home is cozy enough for couples seeking a quiet get away and big enough to create memories with your entire family, on the one the region's best known lakes. Located in the heart of the 100,000-acre Haliburton Forest, this log-construction cottage will serve as your base for all the outdoor adventure the region has to offer.

The open concept main floor has a soaring vaulted sealing filled with natural light. There is plenty of space to gather and relax in the great room with wood burning stove, couches, tables and TV. With pine wood finishing throughout, you’ll always feel part of the surrounding forest. The kitchen boasts new appliances, including a dishwasher, stove, two refrigerators, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and is fully equipped with all the dishes, small appliances, and cooking utensils you could need. Serve your meals on the custom-made 6-seat harvest table in the main room or the 6-seat teak table in our fully screened in Haliburton room. The main floor master bedroom has a full ensuite bathroom and walk in closet with a comfy queen size bed. The upper floor includes two bright bedrooms with queen beds and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub.

The lower-level walkout has plenty of overflow space and includes a family room, couches, TV, games closet, propane fireplace, and pool table, all of which you are welcome to use. There is a two-piece bath, a shower, and a Finnish sauna for when you truly need to relax. The fourth bedroom on the lower level has a single/double bunkbed, a fun spot to put the kids. All bed linens and bath towels are included for your stay, to lighten your packing load.

As you step out from the great room onto the wrap around deck to enjoy your morning coffee, relax with a book and enjoy the panoramic views. The cottage and dock are south facing, so we have great sun exposure all summer long. Be sure to keep an eye on the owner's wildflower garden, which attracts all kinds of birds and butterflies. Making your way down to the lake along the recently constructed and well-lit stairway you will find the fire pit with built in benches, a fixed dock and floating dock with plenty of seats for everyone. Enjoy your time in a quiet bay on the north shore of Kennisis Lake. Jump straight off the dock in deep clean water. You are welcome to bring your own boat and launch it at the public launches on the lake or if you’re interested, Kennisis Lake Marina does have some boat rentals. Kennisis Lake is renowned for it’s boating, sailing, and fishing, community events, and chill vibe. 

In addition to enjoying life at the lake, Haliburton Highlands has so much to offer nature lovers and outdoor adventurers. Haliburton Forest has 100s of kms of hiking trails and opportunities for backcountry canoeing; there is a trailhead access 0.5km from the cottage, while it is a short 10 min drive to the Haliburton Forest Base Camp and Wolf Observatory, be sure to check out the Walk in the Clouds Canopy Tour. Mountain Biking is available at nearby Sir Sam’s, for white water paddlers the Minden Whitewater Preserve has some of Canada's best rapids, and if a round of golf is your thing there are 5 courses in the area. However, you spend your days, head back to the cottage for a BBQ dinner and then relax by the fire pit roasting marshmallows while planning for your next day's adventures!
