Convienently located on the Burnt River enjoy paddling around with one of the ample water toys provided or rent a boat at the local marina and head out to Cameron Lake! An excellent day trip is taking the boat through parts of the Trent-Severn Waterway with the locks into Balsam Lake or Sturgeon Lake. There are ample fishing, sandy beaches and great spots for water sports! A Red Frame is also 1 minute away from the Victoria Rail Trail. A trail that is 55km long and stretches from Lindsay, ON all the way to Kinmount, ON. The trail also goes through Fenelon Falls, so you could hike, cycle, ATV, cross-country ski, snowshoe and snowmobile along the trail all the way into town.

For excursions away from the chalet, Fenelon Falls is a quick and easy drive into the town to enjoy everything it has to offer. There are many boutique stores and restaurants as well as grocery stores, gas stations and Tim Hortons. A local hot spot if you enjoy a good burger is "The Locker at the Falls Restaurant and Pub"
