How do we do this?
Each prospective renter must complete a detailed application. This provides us with the information we need to analyze their suitability to your property. We contact them and speak to them directly. We make sure that their requirements ─ for example, number of beds, non-smoking environment, pet-friendly ─ match the conditions that you have set for your property. CottageVacations.com will only rent to those who meet your conditions, and ours.
Each group of guests must provide credit card preauthorization for CottageVacations.com to use as a guarantee against damage to your cottage. Many guests also purchase our Accidental Damage Waiver Plan which covers them, and in turn protects you, for accidental damages up to $1,500.
When the cottage booking is complete, the lead applicant is sent a ‘Life at the Cottage’ package which includes a set of Household Rules specific to your cottage property. This package also includes general information about cottage life, including friendly tips such as how to keep raccoons away from garbage.
