Townsend Lake Cottage is tucked away on four acres of woods that front the water. It has all the comforts of home. Renting the cottage includes use of a canoe, kayak, bikes, fishing rods, several blow up water-tubes, & some games for outdoor fun. There is a short trail through the woods. On rainy days, board games, card games, puzzles and movies are provided. Or read your favourite novel in the screened-in porch. A large deck overlooks the water and many frogs and fish can be seen from the long dock. A large fire pit by the water and plenty of firewood make for a great evening of star gazing.

Townsend Lake is a 100 acre quiet lake that is great for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. If you like to golf, The Ferns Golf Resort is nine minutes away. There are also several conservation areas close by, including Bell’s Lake. Large grocery stores are about twelve minutes away in Markdale or Durham.
