Welcome to MOSSY ROCK RETREAT, perfectly designed for family gatherings and group getaways. With 5 bedrooms and a variety of sleeping arrangements—including two king rooms, a queen, a single, and two bunk rooms—there’s plenty of space for up to 8 guests to rest comfortably. Two of the bedrooms are located on the main floor with walkouts to the deck and views of the lake, while one of the upstairs bedrooms also overlooks the water. Fresh linens, towels, pillows, and blankets are all provided (just remember to bring your beach towels).

The cottage offers 2 full bathrooms (1 on the main floor and 1 on the top level) and a convenient half bath on the lower level. A fully equipped kitchen makes meal prep easy, with everything from a dishwasher, microwave, and Keurig to a slow cooker and blender. An additional fridge/freezer ensures you’ll have more than enough storage for group meals and long stays. Inside, enjoy central air conditioning, ceiling fans, and cozy evenings by the wood-burning fireplace. Entertainment options abound, with a SMART TV, Bluetooth speakers, a games console (with a DVD player), foosball, and a selection of board games, books, and cards. Practical amenities like a washer/dryer (detergent included) and an automatic generator provide peace of mind throughout your stay.

Step outside to experience the natural beauty of this private 2+ acre lot. The screened-in deck lounge and large patio table make it easy to dine or relax outdoors. The direct-line BBQ is perfect for family meals, and evenings around the fire pit with Muskoka chairs will be a highlight of your stay. There is a gentle slope down to the water with many stone steps, which we want to note for accessibility reasons. On the water, you’ll find a private dock, plus kayaks, a canoe, stand-up paddle board, and a lily pad for endless fun. Adult life jackets are provided for safe adventures. The quiet lake has no public boat launch or marina, making it an especially peaceful setting—and a great spot for fishing.

The cottage’s location offers plenty to explore year-round. In the fall and winter, enjoy nearby snowmobile trails, hiking, cross-country skiing, and mountain biking at Bigwind Provincial Park. For day trips, you’re within easy reach of Lake Muskoka, Gravenhurst, Santa’s Village, and Sandhill Nursery’s Fall Festival. With parking for up to 4 cars and plenty of space both indoors and out, this cottage offers the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and cottage-country charm.
