LIMITATIONS:
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY:
10 Guests (Maximum 6 Adults). Individuals 16 years of age or older count as adults.
SMOKING POLICY:
Smoking is NOT permitted inside or outside the cottage.
PET POLICY:
Pets are not permitted.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS:
Cottage is not designed specifically for wheelchair access. However, the main floor (which has a large bedroom with a queen bed and a 4-piece bathroom) is wheelchair accessible. The main level requires moving one step up to enter, and the main floor bathroom will accommodate a small wheelchair. The grounds are reasonably wheelchair accessible.
SHORELINE:
Beautiful stone walkway to riverside patio, however, Rocky Saugeen River is NOT ideal for swimming. Large outdoor hot tub on deck overlooking river is a good alternative. A 15-minute drive to the Durham Conservation Area has fabulous Rapids at McGowen Falls as well as a large dam area with good swimming.
CHILD SAFETY ISSUES:
Steep decline to the river. Children and those with limited mobility should be careful. Children should not be left unattended at the water.
PRIVACY RATING:
Five stars out of Five. Cottage is located in a private setting.
PARKING:
There is space for up to 10 vehicles. Do not park on the grass.
DOCKING FACILITIES:
Canoe and kayak launch is available at the riverside. Owners have an aluminum boat & oars for guests use. Stone landing dock at Cottage.

• WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM: No.
• WATER SOFTENER: Yes.
• BRING DRINKING WATER: No.
• DRINKING & COOKING: Water is safe for drinking and cooking.
GARBAGE & RECYCLING:
Renters are responsible to do a full clean of the cottage (cleaning supplies provided) and remove all garbage/recycling at the end of the rental period. If this is not done cleaning/garbage disposal fees will be charged.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
1) The river has a mucky bottom, a hard sand bottom and offers clean cold-water with good trout fishing.
2) The cottage is child friendly and elderly friendly.
3) No fires are permitted during the summer months.
4) Excellent swimming located at Durham.
5) Property is very private and there are lots of excellent walking trails on the 40 acres. Local country roads are good for biking and jogging.
6) Durham dump is 10 kilometers away and is open on Saturdays.
7) The water levels in Ontario have been fluctuating in recent years. Therefore, some of the photographs of shorelines/beaches on this website may not fully reflect current waterfront conditions.
