The hosts Don and Dianne were very accommodating and helpful and took time to explain many aspects of the cottage and the surrounding area. They were very knowledgeable about local history as well as local amenities. We felt very welcome in this lovely cottage on the Rocky Saugeen river. The area is fascinating for hiking, biking and kayaking in Bell’s Lake nearby. The setting of the cottage is really beautiful, 40 acres with a river running through it. The cottage was perfect for our group of 4 but can easily accommodate 8-10 people comfortably. The walking trails on the property could benefit from some grooming and signage (blazes on trees) to make walking easier and more direct. Boating on the river adjacent to the cottage is lovely but limited due to many fallen trees and log jams on the river but is ideal for a 30-minute spin in a kayak.

Again this year we've enjoyed a very well maintained and equipped 'paradise cottage' for our family summer vacation. Grandkids enjoyed the impeccable beach area with safe steps to the water. The service/bar area down at the boathouse with lavish seating/louning is the perfect day time setting because fridge, freezer and coffee maker are available. Whether one enjoys fishing, cayaking, stand-up paddle boarding or docking your own jetski - there is ample space and good equipment. Also the badminton net amidst the manicured gardens was used joyfully. Yoga on the dock followed by a good sweat in the barrel sauna and plunge in the lake was a great way to start the day and after sunset one of the multiple firepits was a good place to relax, laugh and enjoy a drink. The whirlpool of course is a good place to meet at any time! The big BBQ, the Blackstone and wood burning pizza oven worked perfectly in combination with the large and well equipped kitchen counter and large family dining area. The Muskoka room was always a great place to find refuge and enjoy the majestic look at the flower beds, rock formation and Skeleton Lake. Great setting, great island experience and quick communication with the owner. One can feel all the attention to detail, good taste, workmanship and tons of LOVE which keeps going into this place ❤️ We totally plan on coming back next year if possible!

The 479 Little Whitefish Lake cottage is wonderful. It is a great place to say. The owner has equipped it with everything you need. The kitchen is equipped with anything you will need and everything is of the highest quality. There are two great televisions, one on the upper floor and one in the lower area. Bedrooms are superb. The cottage is air conditioned and there is a generator in the event of a power failure. There is a washer and dryer in the laundry/bathroom which are excellent. The owner has equipped the cottages with an extensive collection of dvd movies and of course a dvd player. The cottage collection of books covers every spectrum and there are games and puzzles as well. The dock is magnificent with a great ladder and there is a swimming raft. There are Muskoka chairs on the dock as well. The swimming off the dock is great. At the entry spot of the ladder you can stand up when you enter the water. The lake water is crystal clear and warm. If you have small children the swimming water depth is very safe. It is a great cottage and location.
