Welcome to the castle on the rocks, overlooking the waters of Sand Lake!
This 1600 sq.ft. Cottage home has more than enough space for you and your loved ones to enjoy! This unique layout has two separate towers- one for the common areas and one for the sleeping quarters. The kitchen, living room and dining room flow into one another with ample seating for the group. With 2 breakfast bar areas- everyone can get involved with prepping the meals! From the living room, you have a beautiful view of the property and onto the lake below. A wrap around deck just off the dining room makes al fresco dining easy!
Across the hallway bridge you will find the 4 bedrooms, ready to welcome you after a day enjoying the great outdoors! With all the modern touches, this place is ready to become your home away from home! There is even a small quaint deck for two to enjoy their morning coffee or stargaze from!
With a unique cottage like this, the yard is a magnificent space for kids to play with a lot of room to run around! A platform has also been constructed to allow for evenings overlooking the water. Follow the 35 steps down to the edge of lake, where you will be greeted with a shallow sandy bottom section enclosed by the dock making it the perfect kiddie swimming hole as well as a great place to jump in for a refreshing swim. With ample water toys at your disposal, take the paddleboat, canoe or kayaks out and explore Sand Lake. There is a little island that is easily accessible from the cottage. After a day playing, get your marshmallows ready for roasting by the fire, there is no better way to end the day!
Looking to get out of the city for a getaway? This cottage is a wonderful place to be.. With so many activities all year round to do in the area and only 40 min. from Arrowhead Provincial Park with ample hiking or paddling opporutunities and it's "fairy tale" ice trail, tobagganing, snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the winter. Historic Cottage Country towns can be found 30-40 minutes away in Burk's Falls and Huntsville! Be sure to add a day trip to one of these towns to experience why everyone is in love with the region!
