You know you are in for good family fun from the moment you step into the cottage, with unique and tasteful "Monopoly '' themed accent décor scattered throughout, a lower level games room and a bunk bedroom complete with a children's teepee tent. As child-appealing as the décor is, it is equally sophisticated for the adults. The open concept kitchen/dining/living room is warm and inviting with rich wood floors, beamed cathedral ceilings, propane fireplace, cozy furnishings and a floor to ceiling wall of windows bringing in soft ambient light and stunning views out to the lake. The spacious kitchen is a chef's delight with a gas stove, double apron sink, a kitchen island and plenty of counter space for prepping meals.
When renovating, the owners really wanted to create inviting spaces for all family activities. All 4 bedrooms, on all 3 levels, are tastefully appointed and are tucked into the shaded back of the cottage lending to a great night's sleep. For quiet entertainment, the sitting room on the upper level is a lovely reading spot with a "take one leave one" library overlooking the lake, and with Starlink internet and satellite TV, bring out the popcorn and watch a movie in the living room. For more competitive entertainment, head down to the lower ground level offering an abundance of games to choose from including pool, ping pong, board games and even an arcade game!
As much fun as the cottage provides, so too does the property's great outdoors.The expansive lawn that slopes gently down to the waterfront is the perfect spot to partake in the various lawn games at your disposal and for water fun there are plenty of offerings for both young and old alike. Mirage Lake is small, calm and quiet, great for swimming, and is the perfect size to spend your days exploring in the canoe and/or stand up paddle boards and the little ones can safely splash and play at the shallow water's edge with an abundance of water toys from the lakeside shed. For avid anglers, the lake boasts a variety of fish but is best known for its Large-mouthed Bass.
At the end of all your fun-filled days unwind around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows as the sky fills with a blanket of stars, and make plans for another day in paradise!
